Plenty of fine trails await riders in Central Wisconsin. From plains to high bluffs, ATVer's can enjoy a wide variety of terrain.
The Black River State and County Forests located in Jackson County invite riders to enjoy nearly 100 miles of trails. Riders may enjoy the trail ride from Millston, north to Black River Falls, northeast to Lake Arbutus at Hatfield on southeast to Pray. Parking for trail access is available at a wide variety of areas throughout the trail system. All ATV's must have a state registration sticker and must stay on designated trails. Trails are open May 15 through October 15 and December 15 through March 15. The trails are well marked with orange posts and blazes. The Perkinstown Trail located in Taylor County offers riders 20 miles of trails with rolling terrain in the beautiful Chequamegon National Forest. The trailhead is located approximately 15 miles west of Medford on State Hwy. 64. When posted as open for snowmobiling, Taylor County also welcomes ATVers to ride the majority of their snowmobile trails during the winter months. The Buffalo River State Trail winds through Trempealeau, Jackson, Eau Claire and Buffalo Counties. The abandoned railroad grade, approximately 36 miles in length travels from Fairhild, west to Osseo, to Eleva, , ending in Mondovi. The trail is open year round and is groomed from December 1 through March 31 if there is adequate snowfall. Embarrass River Park If you're a rider, over 20 miles of ATV trails wind through this 504 acre park. There are challenges that even the most experienced rider will enjoy, including the cross country trail and riverside challenge area, with its many thrills. Trail hours

Dyracuse Motorcycle & ATV Recreational Area Dyracuse Motorcycle Recreational Area named after the prominent sandstone butte in northern Adams County offers over fourteen miles of trails in the 250 acre park, including ATV and off-road motorcycle tracks. There are picnic grounds with grills and tables, a playground area, shelter house, lookout tower and hot and cold water restrooms.
